| Biography: |
Kurt Warner signed a 1-year contract with the Cardinals as an unrestricted free agent in March 2005 and a three-year extension in Feb. 2006.
Warner was originally signed by the Green Bay Packers as an undrafted free agent in April 1994, but was released four months later.
Warner spent two years with the Arena Football League and one in NFL Europe before the St. Louis Rams took a chance on him and signed him as a free agent in Dec. 1997 where he spent six seasons. He led the Rams to a pair of Super Bowls and earned one ring.
The New York Giants picked Warner up in 2004. He gave them a 2,000-yard-plus season.
2007
Warner rounded out his decade of league play with his best season since 2001. He finished with 3,417 yards and bailed out the Cardinals who were hurting with Matt Leinart on injured reserve. Warner earned a pass completion rate of 62.3 percent and a 89.8 rating his best since 2001 (101.4).
2006
Appeared in six games with five starts, but still tacked on 1,377 yards.
2005
