Biography:
Ray Buchanan cannot be counted on to be a starter quality player in the league due to his advancing age and slipping athletic ability. No longer possessing the speed and quickness to be a cornerback on a fulltime basis, Buchanan displayed his versatility playing at safety and corner in the 2004 season. Known as a player that is mentally prepared and will get physical, Buchanan can still play the game at the professional level, but no longer has the recovery speed and quick reaction tools he utilized during the prime of his career.
