Former Raider Rice retires Premium Story

The decision that many people annually speculated but never came took place on Monday – Jerry Rice announced his retirement. Rice survived the Denver Broncos cutdown to 53 players Saturday. Rice’s decision to retire, according to his agent Jim Steiner, stemmed from the fact that he would not be their No. 3 receiver. Rice played for the Raiders for four seasons.
