Scout's Adam Caplan reports that first round pick Darrius Heyward-Bey has signed a five year contract with the Raiders and should be on hand for the team's opening practices at training camp.

Heyward-Bey, who missed a good portion of the team's OTA's with a hamstring injury, caused quite a stir among the Raider faithful when he was surprisingly (or predictably, depending on who you talk to) taken with the seventh overall pick ahead of Michael Crabtree.

Financial details of the contract haven't been released yet. Stay tuned for those and other updates from SBI's Mike Wagaman as more information comes in.
