The group representing the Oakland Raiders spent a portion of USC's Pro Day talking to a receiver who was there to catch passes for Mark Sanchez during his passing drills.

Cal Poly wide reciever Ramses Barden has been on the Raiders radar for some time now. That interest intensified after he posted a 4.48 40 time at his workout on Cal Poly's Pro Day last month.

Most mock drafts have had Barden going in the third round but there is speculation that the Raiders could select him with the eight pick in the second round. At 6'6'', he would provide the big target many feel Jamarcus Russell needs downfield plus he has the speed that Al Davis craves in his picks. When those factors are taken into account, hearing Barden's name called out when the Raiders turn comes up in the second round shouldn't be a total shock.
