With JaMarcus Russell’s knee still too sore, the Raiders announced Andrew Walter will start at quarterback for today’s game against Carolina.

Marques Tuiasosopo will serve as Walter’s backup while Russell is listed as the emergency quarterback.

In a surprise, wide receiver Ronald Curry was also listed as inactive and was seen by some members of the media eating in the press lounge before the game.

Running back Darren McFadden, defensive end Derrick Burgess, linebacker Ricky Brown, center John Wade, fullback Jason Davis and tackle James Marten are also inactive.

The Raiders also announced they have waived defensive lineman Fred Wakefield and promoted Greyson Gunheim from the practice squad.
