Schillens deal leaves twot picks unsigned

Having signed Chaz Schillens on Thursday, the Raiders have only two of their draft picks who have yet to come to terms with less than a week left before training camp begins.
Wide receiver Arman Shields, a fourth-round selection, and defensive end Trevor Scott, a sixth-rounder, remain unsigned though both are expected to have deals done before camp.
No terms of Schillens’ deal were announced.
. Oakland opens its stay in Napa next Wednesday when all players are due to report, with the first practice scheduled for the following morning. Whether wide receiver
Javon Walker
is among them remains uncertain. Though team officials have indicated they expect him to be in camp and ready to go, Walker has not been seen publicly nor has he spoken since being attacked in Las Vegas.
. Cornerback
Nnamdi Asomugha
could also choose not to report after failing to come to terms on a long-term contract. He has yet to sign the tender for being named Oakland’s franchise player and might opt to wait a little while longer to show his displeasure over not getting a new deal done.
. Another player who may or may not be at camp when players report next week is running back
LaMont Jordan
. Jordan is the odd-man out in Oakland’s backfield and was given permission by the team in the offseason to seek a new deal.
The Raiders held Jordan out of their June mini-camp in an effort to keep him healthy and, in theory, enhance his trade value. At this stage, though, it’s unlikely a trade will go down, though an injury to another team’s running back early in camp could change that.
Even if he does report Jordan is going to find it difficult to get many meaningful reps. Oakland’s intentions are to go with a combination of
Justin Fargas
,
Michael Bush
and first-round draft pick
Darren McFadden
.
