The Oakland Raiders signed fifth-round pick Eric Frampton on the same day they lost safety Jarrod Cooper to a four-game suspension. The team also parted ways with quarterback Josh Booty, waiving the signal caller.

Former Washington State safety Eric Frampton was taken with Oakland’s second pick in the fifth round, 165th overall .

A 1st-team All-Pac Ten selection last year, Frampton collected 100 tackles and five interceptions as a senior.

Considered to be a player on the rise because of his ability to put classroom work onto the field quickly, Frampton is athletic and shows good range. He will get caught out of position but offers tremendous upside.
