The Oakland Raiders will not pick up the option on quarterback Aaron Brooks, allowing him to becoem an unrestricted free agent.

Aaron Brooks played in just eight games for the Raiders in 2006 and failed to register a win.

He was scheduled to earn a $5 million roster bonus but will be an unrestricted free agent.

Brooks completed 57.3 percent of his passes and threw eight interceptions and three touchdown passes while being sacked 26 times.
