Much like previous weeks, turnovers led to opposition points. Two first half fumbles from quarterback Andrew Walter, both of which were recovered by Jared Allen, led to ten Kansas City points. Both came inside Oakland territory.

Eddie Kennison’s only catch of the day put Kansas City ahead for good in the first quarter. Larry Johnson would add a touchdown run off a turnover in the second quarter and Lawrence Tynes hit two field goals to provide the final margin. Johnson rushed 31 times for 135 yards.
