Mr. Irrelevant: Kevin McMahan

Posted Apr 30, 2006

The Oakland Raiders tabbed Mr. Irrelevant, Maine wide receiver Kevin McMahan, as the last pick in the 2006 NFL Draft.

As a reward for his selection, Kevin McMahan gets a party in Newport Beach this June.

As a senior for the BlackBears of Maine, McMahan caught 59 passes for 893 yards and 13 touchdowns, averaging 15.1 yards per reception.

A two-year starter, he was awarded All-Conference honors as a senior after being used primarily on special teams to begin his career.

Considered to be a sure router runner who uses his 6-foot-2 frame effectively, McMahan was also a product of the offense which used three receiver sets as its norm.

He will have an opportunity as a fifth receiver in Oakland.
