A local product from Long Beach, California, Darnell Bing was charged with following in the footsteps of Troy Polamalu with the Trojans.
At 6-foot-2, 222-pounds, Bing was clocked at 4.53 in the forty-yard dash. A three year starter at strong safety, Bing has intercepted eight passes over his career at USC.
In his senior season Bing managed 50 tackles, two-and-a-half tackles for a loss, four interceptions for 119 return yards with six passes defensed and one forced fumble. He saw time on the kick off unit managing 5 returns for 143 yards (28.6 avg).
By drafting Bing and Huff, both who have experience playing in big games and in winning traditions, they hope to revolutionize the play of the defensive backfield.
