2006 NFL Draft Audio: Ryan O'Callaghan

Posted Feb 17, 2006

A first-team All-Pac Ten honoree the last two seasons, Ryan O'Callaghan has garnered interest from a number of NFL teams for his tenacious play along the offensive line. A solid Senior Bowl led to a number of one-on-one interviews as he quietly moves up the draft boards. Two years after selecting Robery Gallery, the Oakland Raiders are again looking to strengthen the offensive line.

Ryan O'Callaghan led all Cal linemen with 38 knockdown blocks during the year, finished second with 19 pancakes and enters Thursday’s Las Vegas Bowl with 34 career starts.

O’Callaghan is a 6-7, 360-pound offensive tackle from Redding, Cal., who earned first-team All-Pac-10 honors each of the past two seasons.

We sat down with O'Callaghan to talk about his play at right tackle, if teams have looked at him at other positions, and his strenghts and weaknesses.
