0: Touchdowns scored over the last six quarters by Oakland's offense, which
continues to be one of the most underachieving units in the NFL
0: Rushing first downs by Oakland in the second half until Justin Fargas'
11-yard run late in the fourth quarter
WHAT WENT RIGHT
* Oakland's defense made a solid goal line stand early in the first quarter,
holding the Broncos on three straight plays from inside the 5 and forcing Denver
to settle for a field goal
* Stuart Schweigert recorded his second interception of the season and only
the fourth by a Raiders defensive back, thwarting a Broncos scoring bid in the
second quarter
* Defensive end Derrick Burgess recorded his 15th sack of the season, leaving
him just 1/2 shy of the Raiders franchise record held by Sean Jones
* Sebastian Janikowski kicked a 43-yard field goal in the fourth quarter,
keeping the Raiders from being shut out for the first time since they were
blanked by Kansas City in 1997
WHAT WENT WRONG
* Not only did Broncos QB Jake Plummer have plenty of protection but Denver's
wide receivers found huge gaps in Oakland's defense and were rarely challenged,
making big play after big play all afternoon
* QB Kerry Collins had a rough day and didn't get much help from his
receivers who dropped several balls or his offensive line, which couldn't handle
Denver's pass rush. Collins also hurt himself with a bad throw that was
intercepted in the end zone just before halftime
* Whatever hopes Oakland had of getting back in the game after halftime were
shot down when kick returner Chris Carr fumbled away the opening kickoff of the
third quarter. The Broncos recovered deep in Raider territory and eventually
scored on a field goal
* Oakland came out pounding the ball to Zack Crockett with some success but
was forced to abandon the running game altogether after falling behind by three
scores early in the second half
