Collins on IR, Woodson not amused by Horn

Another week, another Oakland Raider on injured reserve.

Starting right guard Mo Collins is the latest to join the list after undergoing arthroscopic knee surgery Tuesday. The Raiders placed the sixth-year veteran from Florida on IR Wednesday.

Collins becomes the 11th Raider to sustain a season-ending injury. He first injured the knee during practice before Oakland played the Denver Broncos.

"He just had his surgery and the results were seemingly positive," Raiders head coach Bill Callahan said. "We haven't had a chance to evaluate the surgery."

Getting on the Horn

Don't count Raiders cornerback Charles Woodson among those amused by New Orleans Saints wide receiver Joe Horn choreographing a cell phone call in the end zone to celebrate one of his four touchdown catches in a 45-7 win over the New York Giants Sunday. The NFL fined Horn $30,000 for his incident.

None of the Giants defensive players gave Horn any static at the time. Woodson, however, said he would have acted differently.

"I can understand doing your dance or whatever and have a little fun," Woodson said. "But to plant a cell phone under the goal-post and pull it and act like you're on the phone – I would have taken it to heart. We probably would have had an altercation on the field."

Horn's teammate, Michael Lewis, pulled the phone out from under the padding that protects the goal post and handed it to Horn, who was still wearing his helmet. Horn punched in numbers, put the phone to the ear hole and spoke into it for a few seconds.

"You want to have fun but you're not going to pull a cell phone out on me," Woodson said. "It's humiliating enough to get beat for a touchdown but to pull out a cell phone is tough. … I would have felt disrespected by that."

This and that

C Barret Robbins (knee) is out of action for Monday night's home game against the Green Bay Packers. DT Sean Gilbert (groin) is doubtful while LB Napoleon Harris (ill) and CB Carey Scott (ill) are probable. … Adam Treu will start at center while RG Brad Badger becomes the backup center. … QB Rick Mirer and CB Terrance Shaw were held out of Wednesday's practice with neck and toe injuries respectively but will probably play Monday. … WR Tim Brown and DT Dana Stubblefield were excused for personal reasons.
