The NFL Draft is fast approaching so here's my first mock draft on the day after two big trades and on the day off the kickoff to free agency.

Follow JamieNewberg on Twitter

The NFL Draft is just a mere seven weeks away. Teams are evaluating the college talent and attending all the pro days scattered throughout the country.

There were two big trades yesterday, with Minnesota trading Percy Harvin to Seattle while Baltimore traded Anquan Boldin to San Francisco. Those two wide receiver moves will impact this draft, as will free agency, which kickoffs the 2013 season later today.

Of course NFL free agency starts in a few hours and what happens with those players on the open market and where they land will have a huge influence and implications on the upcoming NFL Draft.

The Chiefs are on the clock and with the first selection in the 2013 draft, Kansas City picks Texas A&M offensive tackle Luke Joeckel.

Read below for my mock draft with analysis with each pick. Assuming the Harvin trade goes through the Vikings are on the clock twice, gaining Seattle's first round selection.

Round 1
1
Kansas City Chiefs
Player: Luke Joeckel
Height: 6-6
Weight: 306
Hometown: Arlington, TX
College: Texas A&M
Class: 2013 JR
Position: OT
Rating:
Overall Rank: 2
Pos Rank: 2

Head Coach: Andy Reid

2012 Record: 2-14

ANALYSIS: Right now I think the Chiefs make the safe pick and take tackle Luke Joeckel. Yeah they just franchised Branden Albert but he's battled a bad back. He could also slide inside and play guard or maybe K.C. trades him to recoup what they lost in the Alex Smith deal.

Round 1
2
Jacksonville Jaguars
Player: Eric Fisher
Height: 6-7
Weight: 306
Hometown: Rochester Hills, MI
Class: 2013 SR
Position: OT
Rating:
Overall Rank: 1
Pos Rank: 1

Head Coach: Gus Bradley

2012 Record: 2-14

ANALYSIS: This is a very tough call because you can see the Jaguars going in a number of directions, especially on defense at outside linebacker/rush end and tackle. But there are two very safe picks at the top in Joeckel and Eric Fisher. And if you have a chance to grab a franchise left tackle then you better snatch them up. Here, Jacksonville takes Fisher.

Round 1
3
Oakland Raiders
Height: 6-2
Weight: 297
Hometown: Philadelphia, PA
College: Florida
Class: 2013 JR
Position: DT
Rating:
Overall Rank: 4
Pos Rank: 1

Head Coach: Dennis Allen

2012 Record: 4-12

ANALYSIS: Do the Raiders go get a pass rusher or an inside presence? With only Jordan off the board they almost have the pick of the litter. Oakland has issues up front and on the inside and Floyd makes the most sense. He's athletic, versatile and can get after the quarterback as a defensive tackle.

Round 1
4
Philadelphia Eagles
Dee Milliner, Alabama
Player: Dee Milliner
Height: 5-11.5
Weight: 201
Hometown: Millbrook, AL
College: Alabama
Class: 2013 JR
Position: CB
Rating:
Overall Rank: 8
Pos Rank: 1

Head Coach: Chip Kelly

2012 Record: 4-12

ANALYSIS: The Eagles can't pass up the top cornerback prospect in this year's draft in Dee Milliner. He's a step in and play guy from the get go and fills a huge void in the Philadelphia secondary.

Round 1
5
Detroit Lions
Ezekiel Ansah
Height: 6-5
Weight: 271
Hometown: Accra, Ghana
College: BYU
Class: 2013 SR
Position: DE
Rating:
Overall Rank: 6
Pos Rank: 2

Head Coach: Jim Schwartz

2012 Record: 4-12

ANALYSIS: The Lions could go in one of a few directions here but they need to address their defense with a better rush and to upgrade their back end. With Milliner gone the Lions select Ziggy Ansah. He hasn't even scratched the surface of how good he can become. His upside as a defensive end is as good as anyone in this draft.

Round 1
6
Cleveland Browns
Player: Dion Jordan
Height: 6-6
Weight: 248
Hometown: Chandler, AZ
College: Oregon
Class: 2013 SR
Position: DE
Rating:
Overall Rank: 3
Pos Rank: 1

Head Coach: Rob Chudzinski

2012 Record: 5-11

ANALYSIS: The Browns may have their pick of several pass rushers and it will be hard for them to overlook these prospects because of their exceptional talents and Cleveland’s need, especially switching to a 3-4 scheme. Barkevious Mingo and Jarvis Jones are both tempting but the Browns opt for the multi-faceted Dion Jordan.

Round 1
7
Arizona Cardinals
Player: Geno Smith
Height: 6-2
Weight: 218
Hometown: Miramar, FL
College: West Virginia
Class: 2013 SR
Position: QB
Rating:
Overall Rank: 19
Pos Rank: 1

Head Coach: Bruce Arians

2012 Record: 5-11

ANALYSIS: The Cardinals have holes on the line of scrimmage but they must first address who's their future quarterback. They take one here. So the question is will it be Geno Smith or Matt Barkley? Smith may not be as polished as Barkley but he has a higher ceiling.

Round 1
8
Buffalo Bills
Player: Matt Barkley
Height: 6-2
Weight: 227
Hometown: Santa Ana, CA
College: USC
Class: 2013 SR
Position: QB
Rating:
Overall Rank: 30
Pos Rank: 2

Head Coach: Doug Marrone

2012 Record: 6-10

ANALYSIS: Bills GM Buddy Nix has stated he wants to draft a franchise quarterback. If Buffalo wants Barkley they grab him here. Doug Marrone will implement his version of Sean Payton's offense and Barkley seems like a great fit to flourish.

Round 1
9
New York Jets
Height: 6-4
Weight: 241
Hometown: West Monroe, LA
College: LSU
Class: 2013 JR
Position: DE
Rating:
Overall Rank: 7
Pos Rank: 3

Head Coach: Rex Ryan

2012 Record: 6-10

ANALYSIS: The Jets could go receiver with Cordarrelle Patterson or perhaps a corner. But I think they take a pass rusher between Barkevious Mingo or Jarvis Jones. There are no health concerns with Mingo and he gets the nod here.

Round 1
10
Tennessee Titans
Height: 6-2
Weight: 317
Hometown: Atlanta, GA
College: Alabama
Class: 2013 SR
Position: OG
Rating:
Overall Rank: 11
Pos Rank: 1

Head Coach: Mike Munchak

2012 Record: 6-10

ANALYSIS: He may be a one trick pony but what you get in Chance Warmack is an animal at offensive guard. The Titans have major offensive line concerns and picking Warmack fills a huge need with a potentially dominating and nasty inside player.

Round 1
11
San Diego Chargers
Lane Johnson
Player: Lane Johnson
Height: 6-6
Weight: 303
Hometown: Groveton, TX
College: Oklahoma
Class: 2013 SR
Position: OT
Rating:
Overall Rank: 9
Pos Rank: 3

Head Coach: Mike McCoy

2012 Record: 7-9

ANALYSIS: San Diego has to pass protect much better to get Phillip Rivers back on track as one of the game's top signal callers. They have to grab the high flyer Johnson. He's only played tackle for two seasons but looks the part. He had a great Senior Bowl week and knocked it out of the park at the NFL Combine.

Round 1
12
Miami Dolphins
Star Lotulelei, Utah
Height: 6-2
Weight: 311
Hometown: South Jordan, UT
College: Utah
Class: 2013 SR
Position: DT
Rating:
Overall Rank: 5
Pos Rank: 2

Head Coach: Joe Philbin

2012 Record: 7-9

ANALYSIS: It's hard to imagine Loutelio falls this far but if he does the Dolphins nab him. He's too good to pass up. Plus, I think there's a good chance Miami fills other needs in free agency.

Round 1
13
Tampa Bay Buccaneers
Height: 6-1
Weight: 210
Hometown: Miami, FL
College: Florida State
Class: 2013 JR
Position: CB
Rating:
Overall Rank: 20
Pos Rank: 2

Head Coach: Greg Schiano

2012 Record: 7-9

ANALYSIS: It's very tempting to have Jarvis Jones here because Jones would solve two issues - he would help out the Bucs pedestrian pass rush and replace SAM 'backer Quincy Black. But the Bucs can't ignore their depleted secondary where they have to get multiple corners and safeties through the draft and free agency. Here they land the highest rated cornerback on the board, Xavier Rhodes and Rhodes can play both corner and safety.

Round 1
14
Carolina Panthers
Height: 6-2
Weight: 294
Hometown: St. Louis, MO
College: Missouri
Class: 2013 SR
Position: DT
Rating:
Overall Rank: 13
Pos Rank: 3

Head Coach: Ron Rivera

2012 Record: 7-9

ANALYSIS: Carolina has to be tempted to pick a cornerback here but they go with Richardson. He would give the Panther defense a big boost as Carolina continue to rebuild that side of the ball.

Round 1
15
New Orleans Saints
Jarvis Jones
Player: Jarvis Jones
Height: 6-2
Weight: 245
Hometown: Columbus, GA
College: Georgia
Class: 2013 JR
Position: OLB
Rating:
Overall Rank: 10
Pos Rank: 1

Head Coach: Sean Payton

2012 Record: 7-9

ANALYSIS: The Saints are moving from a 4-3 defense to a 3-4 and New Orleans would have a chance to pick the draft's top pass rusher in outside linebacker Jarvis Jones. It would be a great fit for the Saints new scheme.

Round 1
16
St. Louis Rams
Height: 6-2
Weight: 311
Hometown: Wilmington, NC
Class: 2013 SR
Position: OG
Rating:
Overall Rank: 14
Pos Rank: 2

Head Coach: Jeff Fisher

2012 Record: 7-8

ANALYSIS: With the first of their two first round selections the Rams draft Jonathan Cooper. He will fill a major hole on their offensive front. He can play both guard positions and even center. St. Louis has to do a better job of protecting their franchise quarterback and Cooper is a guy you can plug in on day one.

Round 1
17
Pittsburgh Steelers
Height: 6-4
Weight: 250
Hometown: Rowlett, TX
College: Texas A&M
Class: 2013 JR
Position: DE
Rating:
Overall Rank: 34
Pos Rank: 6

Head Coach: Mike Tomlin

2012 Record: 8-8

ANALYSIS: Safety Kenny Vaccaro could be the pick here but the Steelers will elect to go after a pass rusher. Moore's stock slide after the NFL Combine but he still put a lot on film with a big time 2012 season.

Round 1
18
Dallas Cowboys
Player: D.J. Fluker
Height: 6-4.5
Weight: 339
Hometown: Foley, AL
College: Alabama
Class: 2013 JR
Position: OT
Rating:
Overall Rank: 17
Pos Rank: 4

Head Coach: Jason Garrett

2012 Record: 8-8

ANALYSIS: Do the Cowboys pick a three-technique defensive tackle for Monte Kiffin's defense or do they grab the best available offensive linemen? That depends on who's available here and what Dallas does in free agency. In this mock they land Fluker because their offensive line play was atrocious last fall. With both Cooper and Warmack gone the Cowboys grab this huge right tackle.

Round 1
19
New York Giants
Height: 5-11.5
Weight: 190
Hometown: Tacoma, WA
College: Washington
Class: 2013 SR
Position: CB
Rating:
Overall Rank: 22
Pos Rank: 3

Head Coach: Tom Coughlin

2012 Record: 9-7

ANALYSIS: It will be a tough call for the Giants between cornerback Desmond Trufant and defensive end Bjoern Werner. Here, New York goes for the defensive back from University of Washington. This cornerback prospect has been a hot player on the rise over the past few weeks.

Round 1
20
Chicago Bears
Player: Zach Ertz
Height: 6-5
Weight: 249
Hometown: Danville, CA
College: Stanford
Class: 2013 JR
Position: TE
Rating:
Overall Rank: 23
Pos Rank: 1

Head Coach: Marc Trestman

2012 Record: 10-6

ANALYSIS: Chicago would have loved to have grabbed an offensive linemen with their first pick but six have already been taken. Tight end is a need and they can’t pass on Stanford’s Zach Ertz. He’s the most well-rounded tight end in this draft.

Round 1
21
Cincinnati Bengals
Height: 6-3
Weight: 266
Hometown: Salisbury, CT
College: Florida State
Class: 2013 JR
Position: DE
Rating:
Overall Rank: 16
Pos Rank: 4

Head Coach: Marvin Lewis

2012 Record: 10-6

ANALYSIS: Every year there’s one player in the draft that falls un-expectantly. This time it’s Florida State defensive end Bjoern Werner. He will be a great fit in Cincinnati’s 4-3 scheme and this kid doesn’t know the word quit. Don’t let his combine numbers fool you, Werner plays with a great motor and can rush the quarterback.

Round 1
22
St. Louis Rams
Kenny Vaccaro/GETTY IMAGES
Height: 6-0
Weight: 214
Hometown: Early, TX
College: Texas
Class: 2013 SR
Position: S
Rating:
Overall Rank: 18
Pos Rank: 1

Head Coach: Jeff Fisher

2012 Record: 7-8

ANALYSIS: The Rams addressed their offensive front need with the Cooper selection at No. 16. St. Louis goes with the draft’s top safety with their second pick at No. 22. Kenny Vaccaro will fill a huge void in the Rams secondary. The Rams can address receiver later in the draft.

Round 1
23
Minnesota Vikings
Height: 6-1.5
Weight: 216
Hometown: Rock Hill, SC
College: Tennessee
Class: 2013 JR
Position: WR
Rating:
Overall Rank: 15
Pos Rank: 2

Head Coach: Leslie Frazier

2012 Record: 10-6

ANALYSIS: With the trade of Percy Harvin the Vikings have to go wide receiver with one of their two first round selections. They don’t wait long to scoop up the draft’s top wideout, Cordarrelle Patterson. A player with his skill set could be a huge asset in the Minnesota offense, especially with the running presence of the NFL MVP, Adrian Peterson.

Round 1
24
Indianapolis Colts
Player: Datone Jones
Height: 6-3.5
Weight: 283
Hometown: Compton, CA
College: UCLA
Class: 2013 SR
Position: DE
Rating:
Overall Rank: 24
Pos Rank: 5

Head Coach: Chuck Pagano

2012 Record: 11-5

ANALYSIS: Like Minnesota, Indy needs help at several positions like right tackle, cornerback and on the defensive front. The Colts take the versatile Datone Jones as they continue to find the pieces for their 3-4 defense.

Round 1
25
Minnesota Vikings
Alec Ogletree, Georgia
Height: 6-2
Weight: 242
Hometown: Newnan, GA
College: Georgia
Class: 2013 JR
Position: MLB
Rating:
Overall Rank: 21
Pos Rank: 1

Head Coach: Leslie Frazier

2012 Record: 10-6

ANALYSIS: While it would be tempting to go back to back with another receiver with this pick the Vikings get a top 15 talent at No. 25 with linebacker Alec Ogletree. Sure he has some red-flags but he has too much talent to pass up and he fills a huge need at the linebacker position. He can play inside and out.

Round 1
26
Green Bay Packers
Player: Eddie Lacy
Height: 5-11
Weight: 231
Hometown: Geismar, LA
College: Alabama
Class: 2013 JR
Position: RB
Rating:
Overall Rank: 33
Pos Rank: 1

Head Coach: Mike McCarthy

2012 Record: 11-5

ANALYSIS: The Packers haven't had a running game in a few seasons but they get their guy in Eddie Lacy. He becomes the third consecutive Alabama running back taken in the first round.

Round 1
27
Houston Texans
Player: Keenan Allen
Height: 6-2
Weight: 206
Hometown: Greensboro, NC
College: California
Class: 2013 JR
Position: WR
Rating:
Overall Rank: 29
Pos Rank: 3

Head Coach: Gary Kubiak

2012 Record: 12-4

ANALYSIS: The Texans will look long and hard at drafting a linebacker here but they also need a No. 2 wide receiver to compliment Andre Johnson. Keenan Allen would be an ideal pick.

Round 1
28
Denver Broncos
Height: 6-2
Weight: 313
Hometown: Jefferson City, MO
Class: 2013 SR
Position: DT
Rating:
Overall Rank: 27
Pos Rank: 4

Head Coach: John Fox

2012 Record: 13-3

ANALYSIS: I think the Broncos go get a defensive tackle here and Sylvester Williams looks like a good fit for John Fox's defense. Middle linebacker is also a huge priority but they can fill this need later in draft.

Round 1
29
New England Patriots
Player: Tavon Austin
Height: 5-8
Weight: 174
Hometown: Baltimore, MD
College: West Virginia
Class: 2013 SR
Position: WR
Rating:
Overall Rank: 12
Pos Rank: 1

Head Coach: Bill Belichick

2012 Record: 12-4

ANALYSIS: Can you imagine what Tavon Austin would be like in the New England offense with Tom Brady? I can’t see Austin sliding this far but if he does how does he get by Bill Belicheck?

Round 1
30
Atlanta Falcons
Player: Tyler Eifert
Height: 6-5
Weight: 250
Hometown: Fort Wayne, IN
College: Notre Dame
Class: 2013 SR
Position: TE
Rating:
Overall Rank: 26
Pos Rank: 2

Head Coach: Mike Smith

2012 Record: 13-3

ANALYSIS: The Falcons would love to add a defensive lineman here, especially at defensive end. But the best available player is tight end Tyler Eifert. He could step in right away for the retired Tony Gonzalez and be a terrific weapon in the Atlanta offense for quarterback Matt Ryan.

Round 1
31
San Francisco 49ers
Height: 6-2
Weight: 320
Hometown: Detroit, MI
College: Ohio State
Class: 2013 JR
Position: DT
Rating:
Overall Rank: 43
Pos Rank: 7

Head Coach: Jim Harbaugh

2012 Record: 11-4

ANALYSIS: Despite the trade for Anquan Boldin, the 49ers could go wide receiver with their first pick. They could also address cornerback or safety. San Francisco will be aggressive and move all over the place during the draft. If they stick at No. 31 look for the 49ers to draft a defensive tackle like Jonathan Hankins from Ohio State.

Round 1
32
Baltimore Ravens
Height: 6-4
Weight: 196
Hometown: Virginia Beach, VA
College: Tennessee
Class: 2013 JR
Position: WR
Rating:
Overall Rank: 40
Pos Rank: 5

Head Coach: John Harbaugh

2012 Record: 10-6

ANALYSIS: With the trade of Anquan Boldin to the 49ers the Super Bowl champs grab a great athlete in wide receiver Justin Hunter, despite the need at middle linebacker. This kid has very good size and a very unique skill set. If you pay Joe Flacco all that money you can't lose weapons like Boldin and not replace him.
